    You aren't from the east side if you haven't been to this establishment! It's been here for AT LEAST the last 30 years. The staff has changed but the food never has. For reliable, delicious, inexpensive Chinese takeout, Foon Ying is the place to go. In my opinion it's the best Chinese food on the east side right after a certain not-so-well kept secret near Washington square mall.

    Chinese place with later hours and giant egg rolls! Their food is pretty good and they do a lot of volume it seems for carry out. Liked most everything I've got there.

    Wow!! Seeing this place from the outside you would not expect the delicious food that await!! Lunch combo of General Tso chicken, white rice, hot sour soup and an egg roll for the grand total of $9. There was SO MUCH FOOD! The egg roll was huge! Not to mention it was extremely delicious! The rice was soft and sticky, the chicken was well covered and crisp (who doesn't love crisp chicken!). Highly highly recommend!

    I ordered the Beef and Broccoli....every piece of meat I felt like I could chew for an hour....very chewy.....staff is very freindly

    I enjoyed some take-out from Foon Ying Sunday night with some of my family.  I had the Szechuan Tofu.  It had a bit more of a kick than when I have gotten it from other places, but it was still quite good.  It wasn't on the menu, but they accommodated.  

    The eggrolls my family members had were HUGE!  I don't think I had ever seen eggrolls like that before.
